    CODEX BETA

CODEX is a private AI cloud and cluster management platform for administrators, government entities and businesses that need to run and manage AI on infrastructure they control.

One web console puts AI chat, AI model hosting, servers, storage, networks, smart-home and records in one place. It runs on hardware the owner controls, not in someone else's cloud.

Invite-only beta. CODEX is in invite-only beta. Request access through the Contact us form. Features may change during the beta.

    Built for government and business

CODEX is designed for any environment that wants to run AI on its own terms, with a focus on government entities and businesses. It is installed on-site, on the owner's own server, not in a hosted cloud. Each CODEX console is standalone, with its own data, accounts and passkeys.

    One console

    • Two looks: a Star Trek LCARS interface, or a plain Standard theme.
    • Organized by department: the side menu follows Starfleet names: Command, Communications, Operations, Tactical and Engineering.
    • Optional apps: install extra apps from the in-console App store or from a one-file package.

    AI chat and assistants

    • CODEX chat: Claude Code inside the console, with tabs, a prompt queue, and Allow once / Allow for this chat / Deny approval cards before the AI touches anything. Chats sync across browsers and devices.
    • Chat engines: Claude (Anthropic), local models through Ollama, Rivet blueprints and others.
    • Synapse in Odoo: AI bots inside the Odoo ERP chat and website live chat. They read Odoo records with the asker's own permissions, and any change they suggest is a proposal that a person must approve in Odoo.
    • Rivet Blueprints: a visual node editor for building AI bots and workflows (99 node types), with version history, testing, and an MCP tool node so bots can use tools safely.
    • Document library: drop files (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, text, web pages) into a shared folder and bots search them. Each person also has a private collection.

    Nodes, servers and containers

    • AI Fleet: enroll other Ubuntu AI servers over SSH. CODEX installs Ollama, models and a Rivet runner on each, monitors them over SNMPv3, receives alerts, and can repair, update or reboot them.
    • Databases: one-click PostgreSQL + pgvector databases in Docker, locally or on fleet servers, with backups, restore, copy to another server, read-only and read-write roles, and AI tools that query them.
    • System page: live CPU, temperature, memory, disks, RAID, network and Docker containers (start, stop, restart), plus a task manager that shows which app or AI model is using the machine.
    • Synology NAS management: health, storage, drives, shares, users, packages, containers, logs, security advisor and updates. Read-only unless an admin allows changes.

    Network and security monitoring

    • Syslog + SIEM: pulls NAS logs, searches them, groups them into reports and raises security alerts.
    • Net Monitor: ping and SNMP watch, network discovery and port scanner.

    Devices and sensors

    • LoRa mesh (Meshtastic / MeshCore): radio sensor network, sensor-node builder and network designer.
    • IoT · Arduino & Pi: flash boards, serial monitor, and manage Raspberry Pis over SSH.
    • Home Assistant: rooms, devices and automations inside CODEX, plus LCARS themes for Home Assistant.
    • Control System: industrial-control-style LCARS diagrams with live sensor data.

    Records and productivity

    • Records & Data / Public Records: search federal and Idaho public records (Federal Register, CourtListener, SEC, USAspending, FEC, Congress, Data.gov, Idaho legislature, courts and governor), with export.
    • Personal Log: audio and video journal, transcribed locally, with mood and topic tags.
    • Everyday tools: RSS Reader, Scheduler, Terminal (admins) and My tray for Odoo to-dos and messages.

    How it is built

    • Where it runs: on-site, on the owner's own server, reached from the internet over HTTPS.
    • Software stack: Ubuntu 24.04, a Python (FastAPI) console, a plain JavaScript front end, a sign-in gateway, systemd services with a watchdog that restarts anything that fails, a Node.js Rivet runner for AI blueprints, Ollama for local models, Docker, PostgreSQL + pgvector, SQLite, Odoo 19 for ERP, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) for AI tool access.

    In development

    • Federation Mode In development: single sign-on directory (Samba Active Directory) with a rank ladder for permissions. Built and tested, not yet switched on.
    • Access enforcement In development: Access & Audit records exist today; blocking access by those rules is the next step.
    • Gmail assistant In development: an optional connection to a user's own Gmail account, made only by that user after they approve Google's consent screen.
    • Company mail connections In development: Synology Mail Server and other mail hosts.
    • GPU AI server In development: larger local models and a local coding agent.
    • Password reset by email link In development
    • HTTPS on the local network address In development: for camera and microphone use from other devices on the LAN.
    • Sandboxed AI command execution for non-admin users In development
    • Smart routing of AI requests across fleet servers In development
